Municipal drinking water supply

Clean and safe water supply with UV technology

Low-pressure UV-C systems are specialised devices that use UV-C light in the low pressure range to disinfect water, air or surfaces. They work with low-pressure mercury vapour lamps that generate UV-C light at a wavelength of 254 nm - a wavelength that is particularly effective at inactivating microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses and fungi.
Here are some key features and benefits of low-pressure UV-C systems:

Comprehensive solutions for water suppliers

Aqua Innovation offers high-performance systems that include UV disinfection systems as well as modern sensor technology, hydraulic and electronic controls and, if required, filtration systems. This makes every water supply safe and efficient.

Technical solution

From small to large: Aqua Innovation supplies UV-C disinfection systems in various sizes for water supply. The largest system in Basel treats up to 5,760 m³ of water per hour with 48 kW of power, while the smaller AL06 system disinfects up to 1,300 litres per hour with just 30 W of power. All systems are efficient, fulfil the highest safety standards and are equipped with sensors to monitor the water quality as well as controls to ensure trouble-free operation.

Convincing results

With Aqua Innovation's certified UV systems, water suppliers can guarantee a safe, W12-compliant drinking water supply. Aqua Innovation manages the entire process from planning to maintenance, ensuring a reliable, sustainable solution for clean drinking water.

Customised solutions for a safe water supply

Aqua Innovation offers customised UV-C disinfection systems for public water suppliers, which are installed downstream of reservoirs and ensure drinking water quality in accordance with legal regulations. The W12 directive requires effective disinfection, usually using UV technology, and continuous monitoring of water quality through turbidity and transmission measurements. This means that if standards are exceeded, contaminated water is automatically removed from the system and does not enter the supply pipes.
