Technical solution for dining cars
With the AL06-UV disinfection system, Aqua Innovation offers a customised solution for dining cars in trains. This certified system has been specially developed to meet the requirements of rail transport and, with a capacity of 1,300 litres per hour, provides sufficient water for the daily needs on board. The robust design and special cabling fulfil the highest safety standards, particularly in terms of fire protection. The intuitive control system makes it easy for the train crew to operate and monitor the system - without requiring a great deal of maintenance.
Why this solution is necessary
Trains cover long distances every day and transport large numbers of passengers. A safe drinking water supply is a must, especially in dining carriages. There are around 160 dining carriages in use on the Swiss rail network, all of which have to guarantee reliable water quality for on-board catering. As trains are difficult to access, they require compact, durable and low-maintenance treatment systems that meet the strict fire protection and safety requirements for rail transport.
Convincing results
Aqua Innovation's UV disinfection systems are successfully in use in the dining carriages of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) and Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB).
